There’s more going on at Netflix than creating content: on Thursday, April 25th, Netflix software engineers took us behind the scenes to show us how they are changing the filmmaking industry and pushing the boundaries around production technology. Netflix software engineers Mangala Prabhu and Eric Reinecke shared with us what Netflix is doing for production workflows. Autodesk Shotgun is the leading cloud-based review and production software, and on January 31st, the Shotgun team took us behind the scenes on its solution as well as their new Shotgun Create app. We have been working to bring in the Shotgun team for a Filmologic event for two years now, and we were thrilled that it was finally able to happen. It was worth the wait. Shotgun’s presentation on their original solution as well as their new Shotgun Create app was informative and inspiring, and the Q&A gave us an opportunity to dig deeper.

On Thursday, December 6th, Filmologic hosted their first annual Media and Entertainment Startup Pitch Night at the AWS Pop-Up Loft in San Francisco. We sponsored this event where venture capitalists, industry leaders, and media and entertainment professionals gathered to hear from some of the most innovative startups in the media and entertainment industry.
